Lazy Lady Lasagna
This is incredibly similar to “Baked Ziti” or “Lazy Man Lasagna,” I just call it Lazy Lady because, well, I’m a lady. Read on to discover one super easy, kid-friendly meal that’s perfect for any night of the week!
This is one of those meals that you probably have the ingredients for already in your kitchen. That’s what I love about it and why I keep it in my rotation of meals, especially in the cooler months.
What’s not to love about a meal that all my kids will eat without complaint? One that’s quick and easy to throw together on those busy nights. A meal that is freezer friendly. It’s one of the many that I sometimes double and freeze for later.
An Unforgettable Thanksgiving Starts with premium turkey and ham, sides and desserts from Perdue Farms! For this particular meal, I tried out The Pioneer Woman’s new pasta sauce. Influenster sent it to me to try and I was ecstatic, to say the least! I had the Rustic Bolognese flavor and it was so delicious! I will definitely purchase in the future! Now that you’ve seen the ingredients, I’ll quit rambling and get to it. Here’s your..
Lazy Lady Lasagna
Ingredients:
- pasta of choice
- marinara or pasta sauce, the new stuff by The Pioneer Woman is so yummy!
- cottage cheese (I’m sure ricotta would work too, I was just raised using cottage cheese in lasagna)
- shredded cheese.
Instructions:
Boil pasta, drain, and set aside (I just leave it in the colander for a few minutes because I don’t like dishes)
Dump sauce and cottage (or ricotta) cheese into pan.
Add the drained noodles back into pasta/cheese mixture.
Mix it all together so the pasta is evenly coated.
Dump into a baking dish, probably a 9×13 if you’re using a 16oz box of pasta.
Cover with shredded cheese and bake at 350° until cheese is melted.
We like our cheese a little more done on top, so I’ll broil it for the last 5 minutes or so once I’ve seen that the cheese is all melted.
That’s it. It’s literally one of the easiest dishes I make. My kids love this, too, making this one super easy, kid-friendly addition to our menu for any night!
*If you like meat in your lasagna, just cook it first and then add it to the pan when you mix the sauce/cottage or ricotta cheese.
This is one of those meals that has been in our rotation for years! I usually always have the necessary ingredients on-hand, so it’s super shelf cooking friendly, too! What easy meals do you find yourself going back to over and over again?
